Rob Luby, CEO of InStyle Fragrances, shares the latest scent stories.
May 31, 2016
By: Melissa Meisel
Rob Luby, CEO of InStyle Fragrances, Shelton, CT, shared with Happi the latest trends for fragrance now into the cooler weather: Fragrances are given a fresh twist with brands combining summer fruits and florals and citrus notes for an uplifting aroma. Spring 2016 reflects a simplicity of zesty citrus, seasonal berries and delicate florals, forming the basis of a new wave of classic scents with contemporary twists. Unisex fragrances will have a significant impact in the future, as many perfumers are exploring interesting accord combinations. InStyle’s recent launch – ActivESSENCE Time Released Fragrance Mist – is packed with skin-enriching ingredients. Products are sold at mass market outposts such as Walgreens and CVS. Each aromatic mist is formulated with essential oils, natural extracts, and vitamins A, C, and E, which deliver a beautiful, high-quality scent, and leaves skin feeling nourished, hydrated, and supple. These skin-loving ingredients provide instant moisture and even soothe skin after exposure to sun, heat and other environmental stressors. Key notes found within the collection include Japanese cherry blossom, blood orange, spiced apricot, Asian Ylang Ylang, exotic tiger lily, and vanilla, to name a few. Autumn 2016 fragrance trends follow a classic approach, fresh and a little spicy, creating an array of perfumes designed to invigorate and inspire. Seasonal accords: exotic fruits and flowers combined with orange blossom, warm musk and woods. Middle Eastern influences of oud and amber, a feeling of richness and luxury wrapped in incense and sandalwood depict a wide variety of both mens’ and women’s fragrance families.
